HIGH rate of births and at the same time high death rate among the new born lower average life expectancy Health Life expectancy improved from 37.9 years in 1975 but remained low at 40.7 years in 2005. There are only eight physicians for every 100,000 people. With 1,700 deaths per 100,000 live births Angola has one of the highest maternal mortality ratios in the world. Malaria is the largest single cause of child morbidity and mortality and the greatest public health problem, according to UNICEF. Poor nutrition is also a major reason for the high levels of child morbidity and mortality. Worsening household poverty and food insecurity – 62 percent of the population is undernourished – continue to contribute to the extremely high rates of wasting among children. Cholera claimed more than 2,200 lives in 2006. The government has put the number of people affected by the cholera epidemic at 54,000, but observers say the real figures were undoubtedly higher. The causes underpinning the epidemic, such as treatment of sewage and drinking water, have yet to be addressed and health experts fear that if sanitation is not improved, cholera outbreaks will recur every rainy season.
I visited Indiana last month and had a great time. The hotel I stayed at was OK, but I wouldn't stay there again. I found a list of hotels in Indiana here: http://www.hotelroomfinder.org/Indiana-Hotels.html I'm sure you can find a hotel to call and help get you situated.

I can understand you difficulty locating a tropical rain forest in Angola because I had it too. I spent considerable time looking for the location of a tropical rain forest in Angola. The only information that I received is that there is no longer any large tropical rain forest in Angola. That may be the reason.. In my searching for the answer I came across a suite which allows you to send e-mail to the Angolan embassy in Washington DC. http://www.angola.org/contact.html You might want to try that.
Ok, top of my head stuff I know about Angola. - For years it was at war. Cubans, Russians and Americans played a major role in the civil war. -The rebel army was led by Jonas Savimbi, a charismatic leader of the UNITA. -It's on the South Western coast of Africa, on the Atlantic ocean. -Capital is Luanda. -It was a former Portuguese colony. -Abundant riches in oil. Hmmmm...I guess that's that. Do me a favour...see how much you know about Ethiopia. One Love !!! ---
The Cuba embargo stems from a dispute over the fact that when Fidel took over, he nationalized holdings belonging to US citizens and interests, without proper compensation. The embargo was instituted as a retortion measure to try and force the commies to fork over compensation money or give the nationalized things back to their previous owners. The US never had such interests in Angola, nor does the country hold vital resources to US economy (like oil) so it is unlikely that the US will take action against them, whether economic sanction or armed invasion, no matter how horrid and undemocratic the country is..

Children Forty years of almost continuous war devastated basic health and education services, contributing to one of the world’s worst child mortality rates. According to 2004 UN figures, the infant mortality rate was 154 per 1,000 live births, with the under-five mortality rate at 260 – the third highest in the world. Almost half Angola’s children are out of school, 45 percent suffer chronic malnutrition, and a quarter of all children die before their fifth birthday, according to the UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF). More than one in 10 children under age 14 has lost one or both parents and 43,000 are separated from their families. Countrywide there are thought to be more than 10,000 street children, driven to urban areas by poverty, of whom an estimated 5,000 are in Luanda. Nearly a third of children aged five to 14 are working. According to UNICEF, child trafficking is an emerging problem. Food vulnerability affected about 3.5 million people when the conflict ended in 2002, and still severely restricts agricultural production. Hundreds of thousands are still displaced, and many farming families have not returned to their land, while many others who have are often prevented from working large areas of farmland because it is still infested by landmines. In 2004 nearly 24 percent of Angolans faced extreme food insecurity. Although reconstruction is under way, devastated infrastructure continues to restrict the availability of key inputs - such as seed and fertiliser – and marketing of produce.

According to the US state department, about 1% of Angolans are white/of European descent: http://www.state.gov/r/pa/ei/bgn/6619.htm This being said, there are a lot of foreigners in Angola working for the major oil corporations like Chevron Texaco that pump billions of barrels of oils from both onshore and off-shore wells there. Probably, most European-Angolans or whites living in Angola temporarily live fairly well. I know that the oil companies have fenced-off mini-communities for their executives and upper workers, so that the conditions they live in can be as much like home as possible.
It's gonna be a draw.....1-all!!!!!
In Angola the portuguese is very similar to the one spoken in Portugal, therefore with slight differences from the one spoken in Brasil. In portuguese from Angola the correct form would be: Eu lembro-me do Yannick. Ele estava na minha turma.
Hope that you look at your question, do an edit, and post it to a better catagory than this one, Pets. You can search the web in several places for grave sites, but mostly if you a name, or a date, or a state. One excellent site is http://www.findagrave.com Good Luck!
just like everyone else getting in the olympics means pride and BANK! no matter the size of the country its pride and bank. and if they made it in they had to beat somebody to qualify. go and talk sh!t about them, instead of the teams that worked to get in. go back to sleep.
Jose the u.s. shouldnt be fighting wars because of oil or any other comodity. we went into iraq to fight them because they attacked our country. as far as im concerned they should have pulled out long ago. they brought justice by proscuting hussein and now we are still trying to help them get on their feet. its time they start taking back their country so they can live better. it isn't about winning or losing its all about freedom and the right to live that way.
